We have an IIS SMTP server that is configured to send mails to our own domain.
Our domain is correctly configured in the SMTP Domains and mails arrive without problems. So, the problem is not that mails are sent to the domain the server resides in.
However, we have some BAD mails that we need to recover.
We stopped SMTP, copied the BAD mails to the Pickup folder, drop the BAD extention and restarted the service. The messages left correctly.
When they arrive at our Exchange server, we see that the MessageId has been changed and the mail is refused consequently.
In the included screenshot the first two mails arrived, the rest are the BAD mails that we tried to recover.
Probably something is wrong with the message structure:
