IIS 7.5 site stops serving requests for no apparent reason..

I have an ASP.net 4 website hosted in IIS. Will work fine for a week. I have bindings setup for this site such as headers: service.mysite.com (not actual domain) IP: 123.456.78.90 Site will work wonderfully then all of a sudden, any requests to service.mysite.com will timeout and not get a response. There is no IIS error, no ASP.net error. The browser will just get NOTHING back. Checking the logs, no logs are created when this is happening. Seems that the request isn't even hitting the box anymore. Service still works from within the box locally. Just nothing from outside. Other sites hosted on the same IIS are serving up apps fine. The fix: I found when this happens, adding a second binding, any binding, and then removing that second binding (so only left with initial binding above again) makes the application automagically start working again from the outside. This kind of behavior makes me both boggled and nervous. Why is this happening? I cannot simply just be prepared to add and remove bindings to "fix" this issue. Can anyone here shed some sort of light on this issue and maybe why this might be happening? I thank you in advance.
